"A POPULAR DESTINATION"

Buenos Aires (EZE)
The dancing fiesta land of Diego Maradona

The heart of Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina boasts of bustling streets, grand avenues, old-time cafes and stylish restaurants. It's a city of tragedy and elation; a vibrant, cosmopolitan capital. For the tourist, Buenos Aires is a city of wanders cobbled streets, marveling at faded architectural glories and colourfully painted metal houses. Talk world politics and football in the cafes and in the air. Partying is a must amongst the citizens and the fever is on a high all the while. In Buenos Aires the tango singer Carlos Gardel (1890-1935) is still worshipped like a god. Every year thousands make a pilgrimage to his grave, climb up to the life-sized statue, and place a lit cigarette between its fingers.

Buenos Aires enjoys good air, sea and land access. The city has two airports: Aero Puerto International Ministro Pistarni (known as Ezeiza), which services most international flights, and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (known as Aeroparque), from where domestic and regional flights leave and arrive.

Local buses serve both Ezeiza and Aeroparque airports. Deluxe buses make the journey to both airports for considerably more than the cost of local buses, but often include hotel drop-offs. The massive and modern Retiro bus terminal is conveniently next to Retiro train station and can get you to just about any destination within Argentina and around the region. Ferry and hydrofoil services conveniently link Buenos Aires with Uruguay at regular intervals.
